Description:
Cartridge heaters are developed for high temperature applications.
Helically wound resistance coil is placed inside the tube filled with MGO powder and compacted for faster and efficient heat transfer.
Cartridge heater is a piece of heating elements made of MgO powder or MgO tube, ceramic cap, resistance wire(NiCr20/80). It is used to heat in plastic injection moulds, dies, platens ….
Cartridge heater plays an important role in electric heating elements, which is widely used in industry mould heating. Compared with the same heating element of high thermal, cartridge heater can save 5% of electric materials, and heat efficiency can reach 90%. Cartridge heater is cylindrical electrical heating elements with stainless steel sheath, which watt density can reach 25 W/cm2 and their operating temperature can go up to 800°C (1472°F)
